Easy Cooking “Death By Chocolate Bundt Cake”

I have been a little slow on blogging this weekend, to the point that I did not blog my two weekend Easy Cooking Recipes. So, here it is Tuesday, and I figured, what the heck. Better late than never.  Some years ago, I came across this delicious recipe and I love it. I call it Death by Chocolate.

For the Cake:

1 box chocolate cake mix

1 box fudge brownie mix

1 1/4 cup of water

1 cup of oil

4 eggs

For the Ganache:

1 cup of heavy whipping cream

1 12-ounce bag of semi-sweet chocolate morsels

For the Cake:

  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Prepare your bundt pan with butter/flour.
  3. Mix the For the Cake ingredients in a large bowl until the lumps are gone.
  4. Pour your batter into the bundt pan and bake for 50-55 minutes.
  5. When finished baking, allow the cake to cool in the pan for about five minutes, then place onto your cake plate to cool for thirty minutes more.

For the Ganache:

  1. For approximately two minutes, in the microwave, heat the heavy whipping cream in a large bowl – you want the cream to be just boiling.
  2. Once ready, carefully pour your chocolate morsels into the cream and let it sit for five minutes.
  3. After the five minutes are up, whisk the chocolate and cream until shiny and smooth.
  4. Now, pour the ganache over the cooled cake and serve!

    • The cake pictured is not my cake. I have not cooked the cake since I have started blogging. But, when I do, I definitely will provide a video or some pictorials.

It is scrumptious! You should try it! It is especially delicious when eaten warm!
